Browns-Steelers rivalry, take 122
Browns Town, Vol. 16, special section cover, December 30, 2012
Chris Morris, illustrator and author (with help from the PD Sports department)
For the final Browns Town of 2012, a nice look at the “rivalry” between the Browns and Steelers. True, it hasn’t been much of one since the Browns were reborn in 1999, but we Clevelanders love to remember when.
Chris took a little different tack by adding a significant amount of statistical evidence to prove that, yes, once upon a time, there really was a rivalry — and it was one that the Browns dominated most of the time.
Our view: Bittersweet feelings about the last of the 2012 Browns Town covers … saddened that we won’t be seeing more great Morris takes on why we love Dawgs, but relieved that we can finally light the “wait until next year” flame that warms Northeast Ohio.
